Kevin Scott
Managing Director
I joined Duplex in 1994 as a service engineer from a background in electrical engineering.
This has enabled me to help with the development of our machines from both the technical perspective and their cleaning efficiency. I moved on to sales in 1998 which I enjoyed greatly and when the opportunity arose in 2011 to invest in the business with Debbie I did not hesitate. I am looking forward to many more years in this business which I love. In my spare time I have two lovely grand-children who keep me well occupied.

I started at Duplex in 1991 as an accounts assistant after working with dogs for several years.
Working from our head office in Whitstable for so many years has enabled me to gain an overview of the business which I have been able to put to good use since investing in the company in 2011 progressing to completing a management buy-out with my fellow director, Kevin Scott in 2019. My aim over the next few years is to see the business grow and develop to even greater success. In my spare time I enjoy walking my beloved Whippets Daisy, Rufus and Amber.
Joanne Setter, MAAT
Office Manager
I have been working with Duplex for over ten years and since joining the team as an apprentice.
I have achieved and progressed up through the business. I first started training in accounts, sales and marketing whilst also completing an apprenticeship and gaining broad knowledge of the company back in 2013.
Since then I have gone on to pass 3 courses, a Diploma in Book Keeping and I was also awarded my AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting in 2016. I am now a Member of the AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) after being awarded a Merit in the AAT Level 4 Diploma in Accounting in 2019.
In 2023, I took great pleasure in accepting the position of Office Manager where I am able to continue to learn/progress and pass on my knowledge of the business with our team.
I enjoy spending time with friends and family, creativity, travelling and long walks along the beach or in the woods with my gorgeous Cockapoo!
I am a bubbly, friendly person who is very motivated and will always do my best to succeed and help others along the way.

After gaining good experience in a variety of customer service roles I am pleased to settle down into an established caring company like Duplex.
This gives me the security and stability to enjoy my personal interests of playing local league level badminton and also travelling to live concerts and comedies.

I have over 15 years’ experience in the cleaning industry including a long standing relationship with Duplex both as a distributor and area sales manager.
Having recently re-joined Duplex as Central Business Development Manager I am enjoying seeing familiar faces amongst our customers , distributors and associations as well as making new connections.I am proud to be, once again associated with a company and range of products I consider to be market leaders in their field.

Having spent a few decades in Hygiene, Safety & PPE and sorting an array of problems for a lot of clients including Healthcare, Public Service, Education and every other type of business in-between
I am very pleased to become a member of the great and caring team at Duplex who have expertise, fantastic back up engineers and great client relationships with all. The products were also a reason I wanted to be involved with Duplex because I do believe after selling an array of machines (and many of them) Duplex are without doubt the leading machine to own. If you’re based in Scotland or the north of England call me anytime and you can see for yourself how good they are…. My personal interests in my own time are fishing off the beach, motorcycles and sport. Oh yes my large family do come first though including Charlie my Springer Spaniel.

I started my career with Duplex Cleaning Machines in December of 2015 as a field service engineer covering the south east of England.
I was then asked to become the senior engineer after three years with the company. I have immensely enjoyed this role, as it has given me the chance to help my colleagues and customers all over the country.

I have rejoined Duplex after being away for 6 years working for other companies servicing and repairing various floor cleaning machines
I realised that the Duplex machine is one of the best machines on the market for cleaning all types of flooring as you can swap over the water tanks to make it into an infection control machine by using its unique steam tank, there is nothing else on the market like that. I have been repairing and servicing all types of cleaning equipment for 20 plus years and I am really happy to be back to show new and existing customers this high quality machine.

I joined Duplex as a field service engineer in August 2024
having working as an engineer previously in different fields and I am enjoying the opportunity to work practically once more. The Duplex team are friendly and supportive and I have learned a lot from them. When out and about servicing customers machines I love meeting new people in all the various sectors we cover such as care homes, schools and vets where as a bonus I also get to meet cats and dogs!

I cover the north of England and Scotland and I look forward to meeting Duplex customers in these areas.

Simon Turk
I have spent many years selling materials handling equipment across the UK
and have also been involved in implementing warehouse layouts and management systems, stock location structures and correct internal product flows. My role included technical support to customers and providing them with quick and efficient solutions.
I am able to apply my warehouse, parts and technical experience in my position within the team at Duplex and know that together we can offer not only the best product range but, a professional after sales service and support system for our customers.
